Privacy Policy

What we collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name and email address when you sign in with Google or GitHub, resume content you upload or type, and job descriptions you paste. We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the service running safely.
How we use it
Your resume data is used solely to generate tailored resumes and related documents on your behalf. We send your text to OpenAI's API to produce AI-generated output; OpenAI's data-use policies apply to that processing. We do not sell, license, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data storage
Your data is stored in MongoDB Atlas (hosted in the US). Stripe handles all payment information; we never see or store full card numbers. GitHub tokens are stored encrypted and used only to read public repository data you explicitly select.
Data retention
Your account data is retained for as long as you have an active account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account settings page. Deleted data is purged from our systems within 30 days.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in (via NextAuth). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion by emailing us. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under the GDPR including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
